About Us and Our Services You can find everything you need to know about Foucan Academy ("FA") and our services on our website at https://www.sebastienfoucan.com ("the Website"). These outdoor classes are led by Sébastien Foucan, founder of the Foucan Academy and a pioneer of freerunning. We also confirm key details in writing via email before you complete a booking.

 

Agreement Between Us By booking a class through the Website, you confirm that you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("the Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies we may notify you of, which together form the contract between us ("the Contract").

The Contract starts from the date of your booking. 

 

Making a Booking All bookings should be made via our Website booking system unless otherwise agreed. A confirmation email will be sent upon successful booking. If you do not receive this within 48 hours, please contact us at academy@foucan.com.

Participant Information Accurate information about each participant must be provided at booking. This includes medical conditions, physical limitations, allergies, or any other relevant information. Failure to disclose may result in removal from the session, without refund.

Please inform FA of any health changes prior to each session.

If a participant requires medication (e.g. inhalers, EpiPens), this must be declared and a medical form completed at the first session.

 

Outdoor Class Conditions Outdoor training involves variable terrain, weather conditions, and use of public or semi-public spaces. Participants must:

• Dress appropriately for weather conditions (waterproofs, layers, sun protection, etc.)

• Wear sturdy footwear with good grip

• Bring water and any personal needs (e.g. medication, sunscreen)

Weather-Related Cancellations Classes may be cancelled due to adverse weather or other environmental concerns. If this occurs, we will notify you as soon as possible. We may offer a rescheduled session or a credit at our discretion, but refunds will not be given for weather-related cancellations.

 

Public Space Considerations As we use outdoor venues, there may be interactions with the general public, animals, or other environmental distractions. Participants are expected to remain alert and follow the coach's instructions for safety.

 

Arrival and Departure Please arrive on time and check in with the coach. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early. Late arrivals may not be permitted to join in once the warm-up is complete.

FA is only responsible for participants during the scheduled session. Before and after class, participants are responsible for their own safety.

 

Class Schedule and Fees Outdoor classes are booked following the format you've chosen on a termly basis, membership or pack.

All fees are displayed on the Website. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. We do not offer refunds for missed classes.

​

Personal Property Please only bring essential items. FA is not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen belongings.

Please avoid interrupting the coach before, during, or immediately after class.

​

Health & Safety Safety is a shared responsibility. Our coaches are trained in first aid and will conduct risk assessments before each class. However, participants are expected to:

• Train within their limits

​

• Speak up if they feel unwell or unsafe

​

• Respect the environment and equipment

​

FA does not accept liability for injuries unless caused by proven negligence of FA staff. FA’s public liability insurance covers up to £10,000,000.

Behaviour and Conduct All participants must:

​

• Be respectful to the coach and other attendees

​

• Avoid dangerous or disruptive behaviour

​

• Follow all instructions

​

Persistent poor behaviour may result in removal from classes without refund.

​

Photography and Media Photos/videos may occasionally be taken during sessions for promotional purposes. You will be asked to opt in or out of media use during booking. You can update this at any time by emailing us.

​

Please do not film or photograph sessions unless given explicit permission.

​

Missed Classes & Refund Policy Your booking reserves a place in all scheduled sessions that term. There are no refunds for missed classes. If FA cancels a class for reasons within our control, we will refund or credit your account accordingly.

​

Refunds are not offered for cancellations due to external factors (e.g. weather, government policy). Discretionary credits may be provided.

​

Changing Your Mind You may cancel your booking within 14 days of confirmation for a full refund, provided your first session has not yet occurred. Refunds for bookings made with childcare vouchers will be issued as account credit.

​

Extended Absence or Injury We may offer credit or refunds for long-term illness or injury (with proof), at our discretion.

​

Legal This agreement is governed by English law. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales.
